  • Composition

    Each 1 ml contains:
    Oxytetracycline Base 100 mg
    Excipients ad 1 ml

  • Indication

    Oxytetracycline 10% Alpharabi is prescribed for the treatment of respiratory and gastrointestinal infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to Oxytetracycline like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E.coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. and infections of Arthritis, the Urinary system, Mastitis, Foot-rot. Also in order to Control Post-operative and Post-parturient infections in cows, Calves, Camels, Goats, Sheep and Buffaloes.

  • Usage

    By IM or IV injection

  • Dosage

    - Cattle, Camels, Goats, Sheep and Buffaloes:
    1 ml per 10 - 20 kg body weight.
    - This dosage can be repeated after 3-5 days when necessary.
    - Do not inject in one injection spot more than 20 ml in cattle, camels and buffaloes, and more than 5 ml in calves, goats and sheep.

  • Contraindication

    - Not to be used for horses, cats and dogs.
    - After intramuscular administration local reactions can occur, which disappear in a few hours.
    - Hypersensitivity to Tetracycline.
    - Do not give with Penicillin, and Calcium and Iron compounds to avoid the occurrence of drug interactions.
    - Keep out of the reach of children.

  • Withdrawal Period

    Meat: 12 days.
    Milk: 5 days.

  • Storage

    Store in a cool, dry and dark place at a temperature not exceed 30° c.
    Shelf life 28 days after first use.
